Restaurant of the year 2016
It is our second entry into restaurant of the year with Essex Life and the team here at The Blue Anchor were very pleased with our achievement.
Finalists, then making it into the top three and earning a highly commended award.
We are taking a new direction here at The Anchor with Head Chef Richard Whittington and our front of house team headed up by Koren Bethell, Angela Claisse and Louisa Bendall and it seems it is already paying dividends.
We look forward to entering in 2017 and of course will look forward to the Awards Evening too.
Essex Tourism Awards
Having entered as best newcomer in 2014 for the restaurant here at The Blue Anchor, Essex Tourism prefered to enter us into a new catagory for our boutique hotel.
We are pleased that our small hotel comprising of five en-suite rooms acheived great acclaim by reaching the finals at Hylands house. We look forward to this years entry too.
